Playing it here
The version on this site is the original MS-DOS release from 1993, running right in your web browser. It is free, and you do not need an account to play. The game was made for a mouse, so a mouse or a trackpad works best.
MECC's own notes say the music and sound only play when the game runs from DOS, not from inside Windows, and that is how it runs here. As a guest, your saved games stay in this web browser. If you are 13 or older, an optional account keeps them for you.
Notable systems
- A journey up the Amazon and back through the centuries
- Two guides to choose from, Isabel and Antonio
- Photographing and identifying rainforest plants and animals
- Harpoon fishing, trading and staying healthy
- Explorers, scientists and local people to meet along the river
- A final grade shown as a shield with gems
